Sean Lilly Wilson (2)
Sean Lilly Wilson is the original founder of Know Your Brewer and the Chief Executive Optimist of Fullsteam, a “plow to pint” brewery launching in Durham, North Carolina. Prior to Fullsteam, he founded and led Pop The Cap and Permit Beer, two grassroots lobbying organizations that have opened up economic markets to North Carolina’s craft beer industry. Fullsteam launches in May 2010.
Kevin Myers (2)
Kevin Myers is a lover of 'local', be it beer, food or goods. Corporate globalization has allowed him the opportunity to sample 'local' around the world, and he is of the opinion that the best he has ever had is to be found at the last place he has been.
Having tried his hand once or twice at his own blog, he has come to realize that he finds the stories of others more interesting than his own. Contributing to Know Your Brewer provides him a vehicle to meet some unique people with some good stories to tell.
Erik Myers (9)
Erik Myers is the author of the beer blog Top Fermented, one of the Executive Editors of Know Your Brewer, a staff writer for Intrepid Media, an online pop culture magazine, manager of web content and social media for the North Carolina Brewers Guild and founder of his own artisanal brewery, Mystery Brewing Co. He has grown online communities from bulletin boards, through listservs, to web-based discussion boards, and into the dynamic world of Web 2.0.
Joel Mahaffey (4)
Contributing writer Joel Mahaffey left Northern Virginia to get away from the rat race, and found life in Maine to be the way it should be.
Joel is a web developer, obsessive homebrewer and craft beer advocate. He maintains a blog about Maine beer and homebrewing at mainebrews.com
Liz Biro (1)
Contributing writer Liz Biro and her family came to North Carolina for the expansive beaches, friendly atmosphere, and fresh seafood. Since arriving as a child, she’s never looked back at her native New Jersey.
A journalist for 25 years, she’s covered everything from local fisheries to politics. Liz left it all behind for a while to become a chef, and today writes about food and dining for various publications including the Star-News in Wilmington, N.C. Her pantry is well stocked with homebrews, black lager being the current favorite.
Ethan Rusin (3)
I am long time craft beer fan who is originally from Minnesota, but I have been living in Chicago for the last three years. When it comes to beer, I am a big fan of barleywines, stouts, abbey ales and DIPAS. Really, anything that has some appealing flavor is something I would like to try. I am a homebrewer, and have been for a few years off and on (though I am making an effort to brew more this year). Beyond beer, I am an avid bicycler, writer, and gardener.
Nathan Poissant (2)
Tom Hughes (2)
Tom Hughes is a former journalist now working in public relations. He is also a beer lover who recently began home brewing. He burns off his beer calories by training for and competing in triathlons, duathlons and running races.
